I finally got a hang of ftp-ing images and other goodies to my site on f2s. Check out the revised Random Thoughts image to the left. Cool huh? :) There will be more graphix coming soon, since I now have the ability to link everything properly. Right now I'm at the public library in downtown area, trying to be productive and get some work done on my way home. I just realized how strange the Random Thoughts page looks in Netscape. The frames are missing and the links are in the Times New Roman font, when in MSIE, the font for the links is Helvetica, or whatever its called. You know, its the really tiny font! :P I guess that I will use the f2s site to post my resume for potential co-op employers. And I can show off my html skills. It's really hard for me to look at the codes. I'm more of a visual person. I guess I should purchase MS Front Page or something. But remember, I'm a broke college student- I still haven't purchased a Zip Drive for my pc yet, and I was supposed to purchase that during the summer!
By the way, check out my f2s site, well, what I have of it so far. The splash page is pretty cool...
Well, I'm on the go for right now. Until next time...

Ok, I just did the dumbest thing about 5 minutes ago. I meant to post my blog for today, but instead, I clicked "edit" on yesterday's blog. Now I have to type this entry over again. Well, here goes nothing...
Today was a busy one for me. Had classes at 9:30, 11:00, and 1:00; made a new friend while picking up some free goodies inbetween classes. Went to lunch with some friends around 2:00. Then I went home and had to clean out my closet. My Mom complained of the collection of t-shirts that I had in my closet that took up 80% of the pole space. Now I can fit jeans and t-shirts in my little closet now. :P
Also, I attended an informational meeting on campus around 7 this evening. I want to join a business fraternity instead of a social greek organization. I would like to meet more business majors within the university. I thought that Delta Sigma Pi would allow for me to do that, as well as do community service and basically just have fun. Its hard to meet people on campus when you don't stay in the dorms; Delta Sig would allow me that opportunity to get acquainted with more people on campus.
But there is one little problem: if I plan to participate in the pledging process this quarter, how am I going to make it to the meetings on Sunday evenings? I don't have my liscence (yet) and my Dad just joined this billiards team, and they play on Sunday afternoons, into the evening. As far as I heard from the informational meeting tonight, the pledging sessions are on Sundays form 7-9pm, I believe. My Dad won't get home until 7. That sucks- I don't think that I will be able to pledge this quarter! Maybe during winter quarter I can pledge. Or, I will have to wait until next year...! *ugh*
I'ma bit upset (more like p.o.-ed) cuz I can't drive myself to the meetings. I feel like I am the last 19 yr old who doesn't know how to drive. Lucky me. I gotta go and do my homework now before it hits midnight. Got an 8am class tomorrow morning. Until next time...

I usually despise Mondays, but this one has been one of the better ones. I actually woke up on time, although lacking a few hours of sleep due to working on my Spanish assignment late Sunday night. Got out of my Public Speaking course early again- that's two classes in a row (so far). That class seems like it is going to be easy, although I despise public speaking, due to some horrifying moments from a speech course that was required in high school. I stopped by the computer lab before going to Spanish at 9am. I was a couple of minutes late, but all is well. And finally, there was my Financial Accounting course at 10. Luckily some friends of mine (well, actually some friends of one of my friends, but we're friends too, ya know?) are in the class, and I sat with them today. On Friday, I got lucky cuz someone from my Spanish class is in my Financial Accounting class as well, so we sat together. And it was packed too; like 200- 250 students in the auditorium at my home college (college of business admin.) Luckily, we got some seats near the door. But I digress...
After Fin. Acct. I saw another one of my friend's friends in there. I told her "There are so many people in this class, I didn't know that you were in here!" She just laughed.
I guess that I'm still not used to the large lecture classes with 200-300 people in them. That's when you really feel like a "number" instead of a "student".
Right now, I'm at work until 3pm. This is my first day back to work since classes began last Thursday. There's a lot of database entry to do. So for now, I'm going to go back to that until I can think of something more interesting to blog about. Besides, Mondays are kinda boring anyway.
Also, I'm still in the process of getting my f2s site up and running, so I can hotlink images into this site without having any broken images like the star pic that is supposed to be to the left of the main blog area. I've created some really nice wallpapers to display as well. Slowly, but surely, I'm learning to ftp and use html on creating a page from scratch.
Look at the site here. Don't click the links, they don't lead to anything as of yet.

Well, tomorrow is the big day. I begin my sophomore year as a college student. I don't really know how much I will keep up with this bog during the week, or the weekends for that matter. Need to get and keep my grades up, so I will be eligible to co-op next summer. Let's see how things work out.
Hate to cut this blog short, but until next time...

Busy week already, and its only Monday. Still counting down the days until Thursday when I begin classes at UC. And speaking of UC, they unvieled their new logo this morning. It's better than the old "dueling horshoe" block logo as still seen on the CBA webpage, which is my home college.
Anywho, I did get my books today, all 6 of them. *ugh* I ended up not paying for one, cuz it was overlooked by the cashier. I didnt't hide any of the books, it was honestly overlooked. Oh well.
It's getting late. Need more sleep. Until next time...

The last two days have felt a bit strange to me. Probably because I haven't been sleeping too well the last two nights. I woke up around 3 or 4 am the last two nights. It had to be one of two things to cause it:
1. My sinuses
2. The terrorist attacks
Its scary to think that innocent people were killed in such a gruesome, yet unexpected way. It's just plain sick! I hope that they find the person or people who were involved in planning the attacks.
But on a more positive note, I got to see my cousin yesterday. He's my oldest 1st cousin, but his nickname is Cub. :) He's in the navy, so he is overseas a whole lot. He's going over to Japan for like three years or something! It must be really fun to see the world and meet all types of people. I would like to do that someday. I already have a list of places to go, within the US and overseas. Here's a random, from the top of my head list:
St. Louis (one word: Nelly!)
New York*
California
Michigan (Detroit, and Ann Arbor)
Rome ( I had to learn so much Latin in junior high and high school, I thought it would make sense to visit a place that I learned about!)
Spain
Mexico (Cancun, Spring Break, need I say more?!)
London
France
etc., etc., and so on. Gotta get back to work now, before lunch time rolls around. My supervior is gonna take me out to lunch today, because I usually have to cover the lunch hour(s) while everyone else is in and out the office. :)

Not much going on now, except for all of the news coverage on the planes crashing into the World Trade Center this morning. A lot of my co-workers were tuning into NBC for the coverage. I watched it every now and again. Right about now, I'm tired of hearing about plane crashes, or people being killed in general. The world must be sick or something...

Had to link all the way back to this blog in order to explain a few peculiar phone calls that I've been receiving lately. Well, the same person that was mentioned in this blog long ago has been calling me all of a sudden out of the big blue sky acting like we are buddy-buddy again. The last I heard from her is when she made it a point to send me a note on Blackplanet.com stating that she didn't want to be my friend anymore. To this day, I still don't have much of a clue to what I did to her that was so wrong, that she wanted to stop talking to me. Never could get a straight answer from her on that. I felt uncomfertable speaking to her for the brief minute that I did say two words to her on the phone yesterday. It just felt odd and strange to me for many reasons. I guess what makes the situation worse is that she's 15 and I'm 19. The difference in our ages alone says a lot. I don't know why she is calling me though, cuz she claimed that she didn't want to talk to me anymore. She's contradicting herself, obviously.
And if she happens to read this, now she knows how I feel.
But anywho,on a more positive note, I'm more concerned with my fall quarter classes. Here's what I'm taking:
Effective Public Speaking
Intro to Geology
Intermediate Conversational Spanish
Financial Accounting
Business Statistics I
Introduction to Cooperative Education: Business
I'm really excited about taking the last course, although it's required for all business students who optioned to participate in the co-op program. It's my first step to getting to that big corporate job with some Fortune 500 company. Hopefully this time next summer I will be co-op-ing with one of them. Yay! I can be such a geek! :P But that's cool though, I don't mind. :) *lol*

Well, as a lot of people know, the VMA's were on MTV last night. And you know I gotta post some comments on it.
Jamie Foxx was cool. Some of his jokes were not funny. They would show shots of the crowd sitting there looking hella mad. But the into opera meledy was funny though. I still can't get over the opera singer in the mini skirt singing "I don't think you ready for this jelly...my body is too bootylicious for ya babe..." As the night went on, Jamie's jokes kinda faded away, well, the laughs anyway. Some were funny, but not all of them. I cracked up at the part when Will Smith told him that he enjoyed his performance in Rush Hour 2! That's the most insulting insult- getting mistaken for another comedian!
I enjoyed Missy's performance though. That metal head statue was interesting though. It kinda gave you that "feel" that you get from watching the video to "Get Ya Freak On". I'm glad that Nelly Furtado was a part of the performance too- the remix is hot! Ludacris and Trina did their thing too on "One Minute Man". But it was touching how Missy dedicated her performance to Aaliyah though. The image that they showed of Aaliyah on the large screen was beautiful. She looked like a true angel.
On the Aaliyah tribute, with Janet, Timbaland, Ginuwine, Missy and Aaliyah's older brother Rashaad, you can tell that everyone was a bit full when they were speaking, especially Janet. The fan letter that she read was very touching too.
My most favorite part of the night had to be when Michael Jackson came out and started dancing like only he could at the end of Nsync's performance. As a fan of Nsync, I was a bit disappointed with their performance in this year's VMA's. It just doesn't compare with last year's performance. I still love their "This I Promise You/Bye Bye Bye/It's Gonna Be Me Medley" from the 2000 VMA's. The part when they dance behind the flat screen TV's with their faces on them was the most unique part of the performance. But I digress...
A comment on Alicia Keyes' performance: wonderful! Pure talent! And the best part is that she sounds just as good live (if not better than) the recording! The choir with their prison jumpsuits made it even better.
Question: Why was DC3 dressed like they were Pocahontas??
The whole entire reason that I even tuned in to the awards show was to see Britney Spears perform her new song "I'm a Slave 4 U". I remember hearing it in the VMA promos and it sounded like she hooked up with The Neptunes or something- it has their trademark "space quality" to it. I read on the Right On/Black Beat Message Board that she was gonna have these boots on with metal chains on them, and she was gonna have three tigers walking around her in a circle. But she did handle a snake, which was a bit exotic for a stage performance, but cool nonetheless. I would like to have a snake as a pet, but knowing my Mom, she would try to get a pet spider or something(she hates snakes, I hate spiders). But anyways, the song is hot, and I'm looking forward to seeing a video for that song soon. As much as I complain to my buddy Simi how I can't stand Britney anymore, I'm beginning to change my mind about her after watching MTV's Diary too. Simi would be proud of me. :P

"Love, love is such a crazy thing
Never understood the way I was supposed to feel
Is this love for real"
-Pink Love Is Such A Crazy Thing
I had to quote that chorus of the song, it pretty much explains the long conversation that I had with some of my college buddies yesterday afternoon. I was happy to see some familar faces on campus yesterday on my way, during, and after work. I'm trying to get geared up for Fall quarter, which begins 15 days from now; seeing my friends was a very good start. I don't exactly recall how we got on the subject of love in the first place, but I learned that myself and two friends of mine are almost going through the same dilemmas with guys we like. It was a bonding moment for the three of us; it was as if we were on the same wavelength.
Well, the reason why I quoted Love Is Such A Crazy Thing is mainly because I am in this on-again, off-again relationship with this guy who lives in Detroit. I met him through one of my best friends (they are cousins). When I first met him, I was very annoyed and bugged by him, cuz he kept picking at me and whatever. Later on that evening, we ended up kissing (he asked me in his own little way)- and that was my first kiss, and you never forget your first kiss...
But our "relationship" is strange though. When he visits Cincinnati, we spend a lot of time together. When he leaves, we loose contact.
I don't know if I should hold on or just move on.
Update (11:54 PM): I did get up enough nerve to leave a message for him tonight to call me. Hopefully, he'll receive the message and actually calls me back.

Just moved this page to a site where I don't have to worry about broken images. Finally! But I have to learn how to use an ftp, and how to get better with html. For now, I will continue posting on blogspot for the time being. But I just don't feel like workin on it right about now. I actually had some fun this weekend! I went to see the WEBN fireworks. For a lot of Cincinnatians, it's the official way to end summer. It was my first time going to see them in person. I was so scared cuz I had no idea how loud the explosions were going to be; they weren't as bad as I thought! At some points, i closed my ears, but other than that, I was pratically cheering the whole time! We had the greatest view too; we went all the way over to Newport, Kentucky, and we were just across the river from the "ground zero" barge. Plus, as and added bonus, I got to hang with some of my campus buddies that I haven't seen all summer, which was nice. I think now it's going to be an annual event. I'm already in the process of recruiting peopleto come along to see next year's fireworks! :)
